Why a Buyer Agent for New Condos?

The short answer is that buying any real estate property without your own Buyer Agent can be hazardous. I have sold many condos for people who never wanted to move in to their condos after they had a chance to physically enter their unit. This happened to them because they did not have an experienced buyer agent advising them - they bought directly from the builder's agent. It is a challenge buying a condo from wall charts and marketing materials even with an experienced agent so why do it without this extra help. And that is just one challenge. Others include:

1. The view - what's it now and what might come later?

2. Closing costs and adjustments - are they reasonable and how can the open ended costs be controlled?
